Clinical Pathology

Clinical Pathology:

Clinical Pathology is a fundamental branch of laboratory medicine that focuses on the diagnosis, monitoring  and prevention of diseases through the analysis of blood, urine, body fluids, and tissue samples. It provides essential information to physicians, enabling accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and evaluation of patient health status.
Clinical pathology tests examine the chemical, cellular, and microscopic components of body fluids and tissues. This branch includes hematology (study of blood cells), clinical chemistry (analysis of biochemical substances), microbiology (detection of infectious agents), immunology, and urinalysis. By studying these components, clinical pathology can detect abnormalities, monitor chronic conditions, evaluate organ function, and assess the body’s response to treatment.
