Anti-H. pylori IgG (Helicobacter pylori IgG)

The Anti-H. pylori IgG test is a blood test used to detect IgG antibodies against Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium associated with gastritis, peptic ulcers, and other stomach conditions. A positive result may indicate current or previous exposure to the bacteria. Since IgG antibodies can remain elevated after the infection has cleared, this test cannot reliably distinguish active from past infection.
